This privacy notice for Brandt Information Services, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") describes how and why we process your information when you use our services — including the Go Outdoors Florida mobile application and related sites. Questions or concerns? Email us at mobile@brandtinfo.com. If you don't agree with our policies and practices, please don't use our Services.
01

What information do we collect?

Personal information you disclose to us

In short: we collect personal information that you provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you register on the Services, express interest in our products, participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise contact us. The personal information we collect may include:

  • Names
  • Phone numbers
  • Email addresses
  • Mailing and billing addresses
  • Debit/credit card numbers
  • Social Security number
  • Government-issued ID numbers
  • FEIN / business tax number
  • Contact preferences
  • Demographic information
Sensitive information. We do not process sensitive information.

Payment data. We may collect data necessary to process payments, such as your payment instrument number and security code. All payment data is stored by Global Payments — see their privacy notice.

Application data

If you use our application(s), we may also collect the following, if you grant access or permission:

  • Geolocation information — to provide location-based services such as maps, tides, and nearby WMAs. Change this anytime in your device settings.
  • Mobile device data — device ID, model, manufacturer, OS/version, browser type, carrier, and IP address, used for security, troubleshooting, and analytics.
  • Push notifications — about your account or app features. Turn these off in your device settings anytime.

Information automatically collected

In short: information such as your IP address and device characteristics is collected automatically when you visit our Services.

This includes device data (computer, phone, or tablet identifiers, hardware model, carrier, OS) and location data (precise or imprecise, often derived from IP address or GPS). You can opt out of location collection by disabling Location Services on your device — though some features of the Services may not work without it.

02

How do we process your information?

In short: to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, prevent fraud, and comply with the law.

  • Account creation & authentication — to create, log you into, and maintain your account.
  • Delivering the Services — to provide the licensing, registration, or reservation services you request.
  • Administrative communications — service details, policy changes, and similar notices.
  • Marketing communications — where consistent with your preferences; you can opt out anytime (see Section 06).
  • Evaluating & improving the Services — usage trends, campaign effectiveness, and overall experience.
  • Legal compliance — responding to legal requests and defending our legal rights.
03

When and with whom do we share your information?

We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform work on our behalf. Contracts with these parties restrict them from using your data beyond our instructions or sharing it further. Categories include:

  • Data analytics services
  • Government entities
  • Payment processors
  • Sales & marketing tools
  • Cloud computing services
  • Communication & collaboration tools

We may also share information during business transfers (mergers, acquisitions, asset sales) or with business partners to offer certain products, services, or promotions.

04

How long do we keep your information?

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes in this notice, unless a longer period is required by law (tax, accounting, etc.) — generally no longer than the period you maintain an account with us. When there's no ongoing legitimate need, we delete or anonymize your information, or, where that isn't possible (e.g., backup archives), we securely isolate it until deletion is possible.

05

How do we keep your information safe?

We've implemented reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect the personal information we process. That said, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure — we can't guarantee that unauthorized parties will never defeat our safeguards. Transmission of your personal information is at your own risk; please only access the Services within a secure environment.

06

What are your privacy rights?

In short: you may review, change, or terminate your account at any time.

If you're in the EEA or UK and believe we're processing your data unlawfully, you may complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. If you're in Switzerland, contact the Swiss data protection authority.

Withdrawing consent

Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it anytime by contacting us (Section 10). This won't affect processing that already occurred, or processing that relies on a lawful basis other than consent.

Opting out of marketing

Unsubscribe anytime via the link in our marketing emails or by contacting us. We may still send service-related messages necessary for your account or in response to service requests.

Account information

To review, change, or terminate your account, contact us using the details in Section 10. Upon termination, we deactivate or delete your account from active databases, though we may retain limited information to prevent fraud, troubleshoot issues, assist investigations, or meet legal requirements.

07

Controls for Do-Not-Track features

No uniform technology standard for Do-Not-Track (DNT) signals currently exists, so we don't respond to browser DNT signals today. If a standard is adopted that we must follow, we'll update this notice accordingly.

08

Do California residents have specific rights?

Under California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code §1798.83), California residents may request — once a year, free of charge — the categories of personal information we've disclosed to third parties for direct marketing, and those third parties' names and addresses. Submit requests in writing using the contact details in Section 10.

California residents under 18 with a registered account may request removal of content they've publicly posted. Contact us with your account email and a statement of California residency; we'll suppress public display, though complete removal from all systems (e.g., backups) isn't guaranteed.

09

Do we make updates to this notice?

Yes — we'll update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws. Updates are marked with a revised date and take effect once posted. For material changes, we may notify you directly or via a prominent notice. We encourage you to check back periodically.
